About us

How it began

We have always been cat people and loved watching programmes about cats. By chance we came across "Cats 101" on Animal Planet, which gave us the essential information about many cat breeds. Thanks to that programme we decided to get a Norwegian Forest Cat. We looked through dozens of cattery websites in search of the one. After a month of searching we found a cattery near Warsaw where kittens had just been born. Looking at the photos we knew straight away that the blue and white boy had to be ours. For almost four months we watched him grow. Finally the day came, and at the end of November 2010 Vendel Ice Moon*PL moved in with us. After a while we felt he was getting bored, so we decided to get another cat – Vendel was joined by his sister, Vega Ice Moon*PL.

Our own cattery

Some time later we decided to start a small home cattery. Getting to know the breed well had a huge influence on that decision: Norwegian Forest Cats have a wonderful temperament and are very intelligent. And so at the end of July 2012 a girl came to us straight from Italy – IT*Nine Worlds' Taylor. She quickly settled in and made friends with our neuters.

Shows

Before we got a cat, we were not interested in shows. We went to our first one two weeks before Vendel arrived. We liked the way shows are run, so we decided to see what they look like from the other side. At the beginning of December 2010 we went to our first show as exhibitors. At first it was hard to find our way at such an event, but minute by minute we learned more about cat shows. Encouraged by Vendel's first successes we started going to shows regularly – and that is how cat shows became our passion. Thanks to them we have visited many interesting places we would probably never have seen otherwise.

The cattery today

In 2023 Jakub and Karolina joined our team.

Our cats are cared for by the vets of the "Pies czyli Kot" and "Cztery Łapy" clinics.

Our cattery is registered with the District Veterinary Inspectorate (PIW) as an establishment under the Polish Animal Health Act; it has been approved and holds a veterinary identification number (WNI).

Karolina and Jakub

We have always loved animals. With two moggies at home, we were thinking about a third. The plan was simple: there is a tabby cat, there is a black cat, time for a cat of another colour. We started looking, found Thor, fell in love with him at once, and after a while he came to live with us.

Thanks to Karolina we discovered cat shows and caught the bug. We liked the atmosphere and the excitement of waiting for the results, and thanks to the shows we keep travelling to places we would probably never have gone to otherwise.

After a few years we started thinking about breeding. Thanks to the trust and the wonderful relationship with Karolina, we decided to join her team and give a home to more cats.
